Aoife Collins

Aoife is a Fund Manager at Rethink Ireland.

Aoife has 20 years’ experience working in the non-profit and social sectors in Ireland both within organisations and as an external consultant. Over the course of her career she has supported adults, young people and marginalised groups to overcome obstacles, reach their goals, realise their rights and participate more fully and equally in society.

Aoife has experience in team, project and event management; research, policy and strategy development; communications and campaigning; business development; coaching, training, facilitation and organisational development work. She has previously worked with the National Youth Council of Ireland where she managed Dáil na nÓg, the National Youth Parliament of Ireland, the Immigrant Council of Ireland and Suas Educational Development among others. In recent years Aoife has worked as an independent consultant, supporting organisations and their staff to make a positive social impact. Clients have included Young Social Innovators, Kerry Children’s and Young People’s Services Committee (Tusla), Cork Education and Training Board, and Tralee International Resource Centre.

Aoife has a Degree in Sociology and Geography, a Masters in International Relations, qualifications in Executive Coaching and Learning and Development as well as certificates in Monitoring and Evaluation and Working with Groups and Organisations from a Psychodynamic and Systemic Perspective.

Based near Kinsale, Co. Cork, Aoife loves nothing more than spending time roaming the wilds of south and west Cork with her husband and two boys; chatting to friends and family; long walks by the sea and volunteering with a local community group called Kinsale Youth Support Services where she is currently vice-chairperson.
