We are thrilled to announce the launch of the More for Limerick Social Enterprise Fund, which will support social enterprises in Limerick city and county to deliver impact, inclusion and meaningful local change.

Over €330,000 has already been committed by Limerick City and County Council via the discretionary Mayoral Fund as part of The Limerick Mayoral Programme: More for Limerick 2024-2029.

Our shared goal is to now raise significant funds from donors, which will be matched by the Department of Rural and Community Development, creating a total fund of €1 million for Limerick people by Limerick people. 

The More for Limerick: Social Enterprise Fund is a bold new fund designed to support local innovation that addresses Limerick’s social, economic, and environmental challenges.  

The fund will support social enterprises with a package of cash and business supports to help these organisations create impact, scale and create jobs in the Limerick region.

To date, Rethink Ireland has supported: 

• Over 65 projects directly in the Limerick region worth close to €8 million.
• Ten specific funds for the Limerick and Munster region enabling over €4 million of funding, impacting tens of thousands of lives.
