The AI for Good Fund is a capacity-building initiative to empower the nonprofit, social enterprise, community, and voluntary sectors, with the outcome of amplifying missions, strengthening communities, and advancing social innovation across Ireland.
This new initiative, with support from Google.org and the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, will build pathways for responsible AI learning and adoption in Ireland. This is a €1.75 million total investment, with €750,000 matched by the government via the Dormant Accounts Fund.
Rethink Ireland, in partnership with Project Evident, is excited to lead this work. Project Evident, based in the U.S., brings expertise in technology, philanthropy, policy and social innovation via their OutcomesAI practice. Through this collaboration, we will better understand and improve data-driven impact, decision-making, and resource allocation that advances responsible and equitable AI adoption in Ireland.
Our Discovery Days, informed by learnings of the AI Discovery Survey, will offer tailored skills training at no-cost for the nonprofit, social enterprise, community and voluntary sectors in Ireland.
Hosted in various locations nationwide from June to September 2026, Discovery Days is a series of free, experiential learning workshops for curious minds. The objective is to spark curiosity and discover pathways to responsible AI adoption.
More information available in April 2026.
