Gerry is an experienced non-executive director and governance leader with deep expertise in accounting, business leadership, people management, risk oversight, and organisational governance. A graduate of the INSEAD International Director Programme and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, he has, since 2019, served on multiple boards, including as Board Chair of Zurich Life Assurance plc, Virtu Europe Trading Limited and Young Social Innovators. He is also a director of the University College Dublin Foundation.

Prior to acting as a non-executive director, Gerry was a partner, Board Chair and Head of Audit at Deloitte Ireland and was a member of the board of Deloitte North South Europe. He led audit and risk consulting teams on external audits and complex regulatory engagements. His work has also included publishing guidance for audit committees and contributing to thought leadership on governance, risk, and organisational performance.

He is passionate about social innovation and education. He served as a member of the National CSR Stakeholder Forum and as a school trustee. Sport, travel, walking, and family are his joy. He is a dad to four young adults, a proud Leinster and Ireland rugby supporter, has completed a round the world journey by land and sea, and has walked multiple Caminos.
